Foundations of Health Science and Technology
Overview

In FHST, students examine the medical needs of a culturally diverse society and the legal responsibilities of healthcare providers. Students research different career paths, gain first-hand experience in a variety of healthcare areas, learn applicable technology skills, and study the impact human decisions have on the healthcare system, including environmental factors such as pollution. Students are also required to create individual ePortfolios to share their research and to network with peers and potential employers.
200910 Challenge
Students will develop a multimedia ePortfolio to identify how a chosen health science career is working toward solving a global environmental health issue.
